The following statement is developed to provide a position for
National Form Inc. regarding the LEED program in Canada – as developed
by the Canadian Green Building Corporation (CaGBC).
The LEED program has a point rating system (0-70) which, once assessed,
determines the level of compliance (Certified 26-32), (Silver 33-38),
(Gold 39-51), Platinum (52-70), for the building design. There are 5
areas, within the point rating sytem, assessed and they are i)
Sustainable Sites, ii) Water Efficiency, iii)Energy & Atmosphere, iv)
Materials & Resources, v) Indoor Environmental Quality and vi)
Innovation and Design process.
Manufacturers, like National Form, contributing construction
components to a building are not eligible for a LEED rating (Certified,
Silver, Gold, Platinum).
There are 4 sections of the assessment in which National Form might be
viewed as a contributor to the design of the building: |
